In 2014, a little business called Bits and Pieces (now known as Cindy's Bits and Pieces) began. Peanut brittle was our only product at the time. The cooking of the brittle had been perfected by this time due to the large quantity we made each year at Christmas. The brittle recipe was handed down to us via my husband’s family.
In 2020, our business went full time as I decided to leave the dental field after 36 years. This change was a leap of faith! I cannot begin to tell you the doors God has opened, the mountains He has moved nor the waters He has parted on our behalf! If you are reading this, you are more than likely a part of His plan too! Thank you for being on this journey with us.
Our commercial kitchen was originally a barn I played in as a girl. Over the years, it became a small rental. One piece at a time, we converted our 800 square foot building into a commercial kitchen. Cindy’s Bits and Pieces is certified by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and a member of Georgia Grown. Our pecans, rosemary and blueberries are all locally sourced. The recipes for our products have an in-house technique and/or original recipes. It has been rewarding to use my creative side in developing them. I have had as much fun branding and presenting them as I have cooking them. I call my art medium “old fashioned food art!” Our products are nostalgic. They simply taste like home, and they taste good!
